Today let’s get back to one our ancient wonders…..Dwarka
temple…. a birth place of Lord Krishna which is located in Gujarat. It’s a piligrimage place for hindu devotees… which is
carved in it’s entrance… the idol of Lord Krishna is made up of black-marble
which attracts devotees for its beauty.
Dvaraka, is also known as Dvaravati( in Sanskrit) which
means place having many gates. The name Dwaraka is given by Shri Krishna, who
is almighty god according to Hindu Vedic texts…
The speciality of this place is the temple is surrounded with the water and if
we have to make our journey through boats…. Dwarka is a place where we could
find lots of things which grabs our attention such as stones are floating in
water…. 5 wells are located at one place but the taste of water under the wells
seems different from each other….Hence Lord Krishna spent his childhood over
here and Lord Krishna has more than 16,000 gopikas… People say that they use to
play in the Palace…..
Even in Mahabharata the city named Dwaraka was mentioned as
Kushasthali. Other than Hinduism Dwaraka is a sacred city for Jainism and
Buddhism also….
According to hindu epics and vaishnava puranas, Dvaraka is
one of the seven piligrimage site other six are Ayodhya, Kasi, Kanchipuram,
Avantika, and Puri….
Dwaraka is a city which is filled with chirps of birds, buzz
of bees, essence of flowers, peaceful gardens, beautiful lakes and resounds of
swans and cranes……Dwaraka boasts of 900,000 of royal palaces which are studded with
silver, gems and rubies … marvelous decoration overall these places, and
furnished with gold and jewels……… The roads, streets, and residential places
are prompted with water and sun’s rays…
