Jurrasic world of Snakes - Tale of Hindu Myth
Hi Guysssss,
Today again I’m here with an interesting topic which our
grandmothers use to tell in her stories……..
This place which I am going to share with you is something
is very special and you will definitely get excited to visit……..
The place is located in Uttarakhand at a place called
Pitorgarh, Patala Bhuvaneswar - Nagaloka
which means the World of snakes…..
Nagaloka is located here from 1,00,000 years under earth…. Where so many secrets are
resided of gods and goddesses….. It is believed that nagaloka relates to 33
crores of gods………
Once upon a time Shesanaga, Vasuki and more than 1000’s of
snakes use to reside in this place. Even now we can find Ecdysis of shesunaga
and also it’s venom over there… According to puranas, shesha holds
all planets of universe.. and constantly sings
songs of glory of lord Vishnu from his mouths…It is a 5 headed snake…
which plays a crucial role in hindu mythology… Shesanag is the snake where lord
Vishnu rests on it….we could find it in our forefather’s stories… Not only shesha
nag also vasuki…… Vasuki is the guardian of patala bhuvaneswar and also the
king of all serpents(Nagaraja) which was used for samundara madhanam(dividing).
Vasuki was used as rope which was tied to a mountain… one end of rope was
pulled by gods while other end was pulled by demons….. When vasudev fled
kansa’s jail with his infant, Lord Krishna…. Vasuki gave them protection from
the rain….This story is very well known most of us which we may heard by our
forefathers….
To Reach these caves we have to start our journey from
Uttarakhand to Pitorgarh,it is located 80kms away from it… Patala Bhuvaneswari cave is located under a huge mountain upto a
depth of 90kms……Patala the name itself sounds underground…..
From long distance we can sight the entrance but when we
come nearby then only we come to know how difficult to cross the path…. the
steps are made of stones….. Both the ends of the steps are guarded by heavy
copper chains which gives us support to walk because it’s very important to
maintain our balance while crossing the path because if we miss it means the
accidents can be satal …. But once we enter to this caves it seems like we entered
to the Patala Bhuvaneswar as it was in earlier centuries… we feel the stories
which we heard are true… It’s spacious near about 130 width…In entrance we can
find the muscles of shesa nag….. over our entire journey we could find the
shivalingas… Even Ichadari snakes which means snakes which can transform into
any form which they want also resides
there…. Lakhs of years earlier not only this but also we could find countless
number of snakes use to reside over there…..
I know you guys must be thinking what happen to the
snakes…..? Why the ecdysis and muscles are visible
I’m coming to that…… Once upon a time Raja Parishit’s son who
was the king for that kindom performed a yagna where he offered bali of entire species of snakes for
his yagna…. So he lit the fire and smashed the nagalokam i.e., Patala
Bhuvaneswari… and killed all the snakes…. only Takshak named snake from how managed
to escape from this fire…..
One can say it is a must visit place which one should
experience place once in their lifetime……………..
